After an early breakfast at your hotel in Sonamarg, begin your short yet scenic drive to Baltal, located approximately 15 kilometers away. The journey takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour and offers breathtaking views of the lush valleys, snow-capped peaks, and alpine meadows typical of the Kashmir region.

Baltal serves as one of the main base camps for the Amarnath Yatra and is known for its proximity to the holy Amarnath Cave, located about 14 kilometers from the camp. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the designated point where your spiritual trek begins.

From Baltal, pilgrims can proceed towards the holy cave on foot, or choose from various assisted options such as:

Ponies – For a traditional yet comfortable ride,Pithoos – Local porters who carry your belongings,Palkis (Palanquins) – Carried by bearers, ideal for elderly or unwell yatris.(All services available on a direct payment basis.) Yatra Tip : Ensure you carry all essential documents and the Yatra Permit, along with adequate warm clothing, water, and light snacks for the journey.

After completing the darshan at the cave, return to Baltal where transportation will be arranged to transfer you back to Sonamarg.

Conclude the day with a well-deserved dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Sonamarg.

Upon arrival in Sonamarg, check in to your hotel and relax after the physically and spiritually fulfilling Yatra. The rest of the day is at leisure to unwind, enjoy the fresh mountain air, or take a gentle walk in the meadows nearby.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to Srinagar . Enjoy the scenic route as you pass through the beautiful Kashmir Valley. Upon arrival in Srinagar, proceed directly to the airport for your onward journey.
